Lee Cooper, ‘Jack Garratt Promo’, Kameleon, 1 x 4’00’, Grade & Online
We worked with creative agency Kameleon to deliver a beautiful grade for this four minute promo, shot by director Tom Clarkson in central London. The project featured an exclusive track produced by Jack Garratt for premium jeans brand Lee Cooper.
Ben Peckett, Creative Director at Kameleon briefed the grade: ‘The overriding brief for the grade was to establish the jeans as the hero. This is a film about premium denim. The uniqueness of the product is in the detail, the rivets are 100% real copper and the selvedge is 15oz denim. We wanted London to support the product and establish the brand back where it began in 1908’.
Colourist Kenny Gibb describes his grade: ‘Shot on location at The Barbican in London, we decided to grade the spot with soft tones so as not to detract from the jeans as the stars of the film. The client wanted us to bring out special details of the collection, so we avoided any heavy blacks to show the denim and stud details in the best light. We pushed a cooler look overall to enhance the blues in the brand.’
