Shot in S-Log on a Sony F55 with Michael Buerk on-site in Pompeii and also separately in a green screen studio for the CGI plates. The CGI was created in Canada and then the final plates dropped into Fifty Fifty Fifty’s full Baselight suite for the final grade. Colourist Kenny Gibb created a mixture of looks to highlight the juxtaposition of ancient Rome and how the city is today. It was onlined by Julian Nelson in Symphony using the Baselight Editions plugin. Nelson also worked with Director Michael Wadding to design a programme title to suit the show blending the old with the new. Nag Kirinde mixed the audio in Fifty Fifty’s Avid Protools suite using the S6 Console. The programme required a lot of sound design especially the scenes where Pompeii is magically brought back to life.
